Leo in a navy rain jacket and slate henley holds a logbook on the midnight marina
Scene 01

The dawn deadline

Rain lashes the quay where Mira waits with her father's logbook. She found it under a loose cabin panel while clearing his boat today. Three months ago, the captain vanished and the boat drifted back damaged and empty. Leo, the night watchman, says the final harbor report is due at dawn, when the boat will be towed away for repairs. The insurance claim is still under review.

The boat leaves at sunrise: You choose to inspect the boat. A tow order hangs on its cabin door: it will leave for a repair yard at sunrise. The harbor officer gives Mira supervised access and asks everyone to leave damaged parts in place. Leo photographs the door notice beside the time on his watch before you step aboard.
Scene 02

Below the deck: The cabin smells of diesel and old rope. Mira points to the loose panel where she found the logbook. Beside it, a cut in the hull has unusually straight edges. Leo records the mark without touching it. It may be deliberate damage, or an earlier repair; the empty boat returned afloat, and the mark alone cannot explain the captain's disappearance.
