Mira in a pearl-gray blouse leads the ark ship council beneath a blue planet
Scene 01

The waking council

After two hundred years adrift, the ark ship Meridian drifts at last toward a pale, waiting world. Beneath the observatory dome, Mira, commander of the waking watch, calls the thin council to order. In the vaults below, thousands of colonists still sleep, and the choice to wake them early can never be reversed.

The risk ledger: Leo weighs the ark ship's life-support records beneath the observatory dome
Scene 02

The risk ledger

Leo, the ship's systems analyst, throws the risk ledger across the dome in cold columns of light. Waking early would strain the failing life-support to its limit; yet a blind arrival, with the colonists still under, risks losing everyone at once. Every figure on that ledger is a breathing life.

The closing argument: Mira gives you the floor for the closing argument, and the dome falls utterly silent. One case, made with precision, will tip the council one way or the other: rouse the sleepers now for their own protection, or hold them in the long sleep until the ship has safely arrived.
Scene 03

The closing argument

Mira gives you the floor for the closing argument, and the dome falls utterly silent. One case, made with precision, will tip the council one way or the other: rouse the sleepers now for their own protection, or hold them in the long sleep until the ship has safely arrived.
