30-day PTE Academic study plan with free practice and mock checkpoints
Quick answer

For 30 days, study 60–90 focused minutes on six days each week. Use days 1–3 for a diagnostic and task map, days 4–14 for accuracy in weak high-impact tasks, days 15–23 for timed mixed sets, and days 24–30 for two full simulations plus targeted repair. Keep one error log across all four skills and repeat corrected responses instead of only collecting new questions.

Days 1–3: build the map

Confirm PTE Academic, your target overall and component scores, and the booking deadline. Complete a mixed diagnostic, then rank task types by score gap and error frequency.

Days 4–9: speaking and listening loop

  • Read Aloud phrase and recording practice.
  • Repeat Sentence chunking and playback.
  • Retell Lecture keyword notes.
  • Write from Dictation with spelling and grammar labels.

Days 10–14: reading and writing control

  • Fill in the Blanks collocation review.
  • Timed reading with evidence for every choice.
  • Summarize Written Text under the exact form rule.
  • Essay planning, one draft and one corrected rewrite.

Days 15–23: mixed timing

Combine tasks into section-length sets. Keep one untimed correction block every day so pressure does not replace learning. Review negative-marking task instructions before choosing extra options.

Days 24–30: mock and repair

Take a realistic simulation on day 24, spend days 25–27 repairing the two largest causes, simulate again on day 28 and use the final days for calm accuracy and test logistics.

A daily 75-minute template

  • 10 minutes review of yesterday's errors.
  • 25 minutes highest-priority task.
  • 20 minutes second skill.
  • 15 minutes timed mixed set.
  • 5 minutes update the error log and next action.

How to follow a 30-day PTE plan

  1. 1
    Diagnose and rank

Map every task by gap and frequency.

  2. 2
    Repair accuracy

Train weak high-impact tasks in short reviewed loops.

  3. 3
    Add section timing

Combine tasks only after the response process is stable.

  4. 4
    Simulate twice

Use two full checkpoints with several repair days between.

  5. 5
    Taper deliberately

Finish with accuracy, sleep and test-day setup rather than cramming.

Frequently asked questions

Can I prepare for PTE in 30 days?

Thirty days can produce meaningful improvement if your target is realistic and you review daily. A larger language gap may require more time.

How many hours a day should I study?

Start with 60–90 focused minutes. More time helps only if correction quality remains high.

How many full PTE mocks should I take?

Use a diagnostic and two full simulations in this plan. More mocks are useful only when you thoroughly review them.

Is PTE practice free?

You can start with free practice here and official information from Pearson. Higher AI usage or paid official products may cost extra.
